Man Eaters Camp is a luxury 5 star tented camp accommodation that offers intimate tents located in the heart of Tsavo West Park, Kenya wild land and landscapes. Tsavo West Park is famed for its massive red elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs. Man Eaters Camp is open all year around and especially during the dry months, the massive elephant herds travel through the corridor between Tsavo East and Tsavo West and spend their time in and around the Man Eaters Camp, this is because of their ability to uncover permanent sources of fresh water. At Man Eaters Camp we endeavour to retain the uniqueness and intimacy of the safari camp, while being directed by the location, wildlife and other factors of responsible tourism. Man-Eaters camp is an exclusive safari lodge comprising of 31 fully furnished En-suit tents facing the Tsavo river in Tsavo east/west. There are 8 family tents which have 1 double bed and 1 child's bed. All of the beds have mosquito nets and a single bed can accommodate an adult. There is also 1 wheelchair-friendly tent, easily accessible to and next to the bar, restaurant, and lounge at the camp. The tents are spacious, well ventilated, and have a large bed, while the family tents have a double bed and a single bed. Each tent overlooks the Tsavo River giving you a chance to enjoy the uninterrupted views from your own private accommodation. All tents have locally made furniture that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The tents are equipped with beautifully designed furniture. In addition to the bed, there is a desk, a shelf and enough storage space for your luggage. The tents have an attached bathroom and a big terrace with a comfortable couch and a table. You can also relax in the tent balcony which faces the river. Each one has 2 sun beds, side table and 2 lounge chairs, as you watch the wildlife across the river come to drink water such as elephants, gazelle and our resident crocodiles which are always basking on the river banks on the far side. The 31 tents all have an overhead fan, king size beds with mosquito nets, 1 covered balcony, drinking water, premium bedding, toiletries, and a separate shower. You can enjoy a bottle of wine, assorted drinks or a fruit basket in your room which could be requested at an extra cost. Man Eaters Camp has various facilities like Man Eaters Lounge, Tsavo River restaurant, Simba Mbili bar and the rock pool.
